Senior Empowerment & Crime and Scam Prevention

This two-hour session, taught by retired Calgary Police Officer Chris Kennedy, includes the Senior Empower Hour and offers a comprehensive introduction to personal safety planning for older adults. Participants will learn about the criminal mindset, how offenders select their targets, and common myths surrounding personal safety. The session also covers practical strategies for creating space from potential threats, using your voice effectively, and seeking help from bystanders.
After a short coffee break, the second hour will focus on Crime and Scam Prevention, where participants apply what they’ve learned through scenario-based exercises. You’ll work through realistic, everyday situations and practice responding in a safe and effective way. This hands-on approach helps build confidence and reinforces positive decision-making, so you’re better prepared if similar situations arise in the future.​​
Child Safety & Anti-Abduction Course

EMPOWER YOUR CHILD LIKE NEVER BEFORE!
Join us for this incredible Child Safety and Anti-Abduction Program and give your child practical skills they can’t receive anywhere else!
This course is designed for children aged 5-11 and will provide your child with vital safety skills while building their belief in themselves. The kids will finish the course equipped with practical skills and confidence, which empowers them to identify potential risks while remaining calm and taking decisive action.
They will practice using their voices effectively, learning how to call for assistance loudly and clearly to attract attention and deter potential threats. They will learn how to deal with emergency situations, including taking part in 911 practice drills. With this structured, age-appropriate session, kids participate in fun yet purposeful exercises where they will also learn physical techniques, including awareness and anti-abduction techniques.
This is some of the best reality-based training available, taught by retired Calgary Police Officer Chris Kennedy.
Each child participant will require registration. Parents are encouraged to attend and do not require a ticket.
Moody Floral Workshop featuring Transitions with Shelley

Join Gabrielle with Prairie & Pine Floral Design and Transitions with Shelley for an evening of creativity, connection, and a little Halloween magic.
We'll begin the evening with a short introduction from Shelley, who will share a little about tarot, what to expect during your reading, and how she approaches her practice.
Throughout the workshop, each guest will enjoy a personal mini tarot reading while creating a beautiful moody floral arrangement.
Using premium seasonal blooms, textured foliage, and elegant Halloween-inspired accents, you'll design your own arrangement in a black ceramic pumpkin.
Every arrangement will be unique, with flower varieties and decorative elements varying based on the freshest materials available.

Join Prairie & Pine Floral Design at the 10FOLD Regional Fieldhouse for a fun, hands-on workshop where you'll design a beautiful outdoor winter planter using fresh winter evergreens, natural birch poles, curly willow, pine cones, and festive seasonal accents.

Whether you love a traditional Christmas look or want to add your own creative flair, you'll have the opportunity to personalize your design with a selection of seasonal decorations to make it uniquely yours.

Each participant will receive a durable plastic container to build their arrangement in. Designed for outdoor use, it can be displayed on its own or placed inside your favourite decorative outdoor planter for a more customized look.

Perfect for beginners, this workshop is designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and fun. I'll guide you step-by-step through the entire design process, so you'll leave with a beautiful handcrafted winter planter to enjoy throughout the holiday season.
